What Thalian actually is
Thalian is an operational interchange on the M-2 Islamabad–Lahore Motorway, southwest of the twin cities, roughly 10–15 minutes' drive from the New Islamabad International Airport. Unlike the promised junctions that headline many society brochures, Thalian exists: you can drive off the motorway there today. That distinction — built versus planned — is the single most underrated factor in corridor investing.
The three bets that intersect here

How to evaluate a 'near Thalian' claim
Brochures stretch geography. Three tests:
- Drive time, not crow-flies distance. From the interchange ramp to the society's working gate, at a normal hour. 'Five minutes from Thalian' should mean five minutes.
- Which gate is open today? A society may border the corridor but funnel traffic through a back road for years.
- Paper position on the ring road. Alignment-adjacent is valuable only once the adjacent section is built; check the construction status of the specific stretch, not the project's press releases.
The honest caveats
A great junction does not underwrite a bad purchase.
